AFTER MAKING THE MOVIE INTRO. WE SHOWED IT TO A FEW PEOPLE(OUR MATES AGED 16-18)AND WE GOT POSITIVE FEEDBACK FROM THEM,ALOT OF THEM SAID THEY LIKED HOW IN THE MOVIE THE MAIN CHARACTERS WERE WATCHING A FILM WHICH WAS SIMILAR TO WHAT WAS HAPPENING TO THEM,THEY ALSO THOUGHT THE BACKGROUND MUSIC SUITED THE GENRE.

looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product.
During my progression to my final product i have learnt a few things such as :
- using convergence with different media, linking movies to music, games to movies and others
- distribution and how it has a big role in movie production also with global institutions such as sony time warner and other
- ways of marketing a product eg using adverts to promote your product using interviews with actors producers and directors, using posters, trailers, promoting it in festivals and also making screening before the movie is distributed.
- time management in making of the movie for example with my production i had 2 months to make and finalise the editing
- brainstorming and generating new ideas in this category i learned how to think of new ideas for my movie such as different genres.
- making an animation clip, building up to a final product as well as visualising the real product before it was created.
- ideas about genre and about horror intro generally research into the genre also the importance of sound creation of ominous atmosphere ,creation of suspense in everyday settings
- creating ideas of using a film within a film (my previous product made before this one)
- directing actors and getting the right mise-sen-scene.

school trip to picture house
We went on a school trip to the picture house, where we watched the movie 'The Kings Speech' then got a breif talk about Promotion, Marketing, and publicising films from a man called Collin Burrows who works with the special treats productions. they have been around for 20 years now, they make press junkets which is when interviewers all come on the same day to certain place to interview a star (or sometimes stars) of a film. It's basically a day of back to back interviews.,electronic press kits (EPK) which usually takes the form of a website or e-mail, though they are also known to exist in CD and DVD form that promate a movie and corporate video's which refers to audio-visual corprate communications material (such as DVD,Blu-rey or other media ) commissioned primarily for a use by a company, cooperation or organisation . special treats production have worked with movies such as cementy junction, casino royale, never let me go,and many others.their clients include 20th century fox, warner bros.,disney, sony and paramount. http://www.specialtreats.co.uk/
collin talked about some movies such as cemety junction which was damaged because of bad convergance due to the serious movie being linked to rickey jervas that is strongly known for his funny character.
if i was to promote my movie i would definatiley use trailers aswell as interviews because i think they are great ways of introducing new stuff to the public audience. trailers would consist of teasers and the originals and as for the interviews i think it would be a great idea to interview the cast of the movie and the direcors. making speacial screening aswell would be a great way of promating movies as it allows u to get an idea of what the audience think before the movie is actually distributed to a large range of audiences.another way to promote the movie would be to make posters with the main actors on them so it would draw major fans to the movie.
This is Special Treats Production`s homepage:
If I was going to puplicise our film, I would arrange a interview with the acters and invite the media that would ask questions about the film. The famous acters that we have chosen to be in our film will attract people to come and see it. I would try and get the message out to the audience that the film is a horror movie but its not so scary so its suitable for children from 15 and older. This would give us a larger audience.

RISK ASSESSMENT
A risk assessment is the potential that a chosen action or activity (including the choice of inaction) will lead to a loss (an undesirable outcome). The notion implies that a choice having an influence on the outcome exists (or existed). Potential losses themselves may also be called "risks". Almost any human endeavour carries some risk, but some are much more risky then others.(source:wikipedia)
steps to form a risk assessment :

- hazards: tripping over cables, falling over on the staircase.
